Global Macroeconomics

This module is designed to help students prepare for major global economic shifts in the medium term, developing a framework to understand key issues through the analysis of labour, output, monetary, and foreign exchange market equilibrium, while supporting students in adapting their perspectives to navigate future challenges and opportunities and evaluating relevant forecasts.

Geopolitical Competition and Investment Opportunities

This module is designed to help students understand how geopolitical dynamics reshape the global financial system, developing a framework linking international developments to asset pricing, with a focus on the US dollar system, financial sanctions, and de-dollarization, while examining stablecoin developments and their implications for monetary sovereignty, exchange rates, and opportunities for Hong Kong in digital financial infrastructure.
